"Cover Up"???

if any of you have read this "article" on the NPGMC site (which could very well be old news by now), is it just me or is prince fucking insane?

"stop doing covers."

hold on, its my cue to play "love rollercoaster" or "a case of u"...

seriously though, you think he's talking about alicia? or maybe divinity?

now i know what this is all about. now i know exactly what i am.

Didn't Prince cover "One of Us", "Betcha By Golly Wow", and "La, La, La Means I Love U", and release them all on Emancipation?

That was then this is now. I don't know why Prince doesn't want people to cover his songs. I'm sure that there are a lot of interesting artists who would do him justice.

Has anybody heard the album, "Party 'O' The Times", or "If I was Prince"? I wasn't too impressed with them.
