im gonna go right out and say it..... the rainbow children is one of my favorite albums.... dont care what ya'll say. TRC, Musicology, and SOTT are my 3 favorite i'd say. | |

It sounded like Muzak to me. The best comparison I can make is a bunch of Oscar winning actors in a poorly written and directed movie. They may have put on excellent performances in their individual roles, but it doesn't save the movie as a whole from being shitty. Diamonds and Pearls. I felt embarrassed that my friends and fam associated me with Prince after hearing this album. I borrowed it (thank god I didn't buy the fucker) and it's ridiculous how much better the singles are than the album tracks. I believe that out of all of his work none of his songs could be deleted. Each song is a part of who he is and that is what makes him Prince. | |

Come kicked butt because of the title track. TRC - I had to listen to it about a dozen times (filled with cursing because I wasted my money) before I got into it. | |

musicology..... thought he was back on track with the rainbow children album after totally unimportant releases such as n.e.w.s. and rave and new power soul...
musicology is a compilation of the worst stuff he already did, although prince mentiones in every interview he's 'been there' where it's about making a masterpiece such as s.o.t.t purple rain or parade (hello wendy & lisa!) , he just repeats himself and doin' a bad job, i mean, c'mon.... musicology the track itself is just a slick ripoff of sexy mf, even the tower of power would have done it less slick than he did. and.... gold nigga , crap album? although tony had a leading roll in vocals i think it's one of the most funky albums he did..... seriously! | |
