ONA tour 4 it's intimacy...Lovesexy was the greatest up until ONA...We got closer to Prince and closer to other die hard fans while waiting in the lines be4 the show...It was great!

Lovesexy @ Madison Square Garden (1988)

-So long he had a brief intermission between sets
-When he did true aftershows
-Because he was in the round (similar to Musicology)
-Because his outfits were the most outrageous thing since the lace he wore in the Purple Rain

Well when you are right you are right. Not that Prince ever puts on a bad show and any chance you can to see him is something worth witnessing!!!

However Lovesexy/Sign O the Times are just marvelous and he displays a level of showman ship that is unrivaled even to this day. So I wholeheartedly agree with you. Musicology was great but LoveSexy was otherworldy!!

Of course they are two totally different tour but LoveSexy was the bomb!!!!

Peace

Sign o the Times Tour without a doubt for me. In that era, on stage, he was on fire.

From the one's I've seen on video it's Lovesexy tour. That's what got me hip to Prince in the first place. Never seen or heard anything like it before in my life and I'm from London where you get exposed to a lot of things, not like some backwater in Hicksville, Tennessee.

From what I've seen live it's the D+P tour. He put on a spectacle and redeemed himself after the disappointing Nude Tour shows. I didn't make it to the ONA shows because I had a big Top Trumps addiction and spent all my money on that.

Just my 2 new pence.

P.S - Wouldn't it be cool if Top Trumps brought out a Minneapolis Scene edition. You could have a rating out of 100 for sexiness. Who was more sexy, Appolonia or Jill?

And then you could have a score out of 100 for most bitter former associate. I think Chazz Smith would win that with a score of 100.

definitely -- it was a high-spiritual-adrenaline-rush... the way the whole thing was done... the music, the speed, the "electricity", the effects, the sound, the stage, the band, the style, the joy, the lights, the songs, the way Prince got personal ("God is inside... cross the line...) -- i could go on and on and on

the next best thing was being at Prince's first Fillmore show in San Francisco a few years back -- that was also out-of-body otherworldly (at times) -- great song selection and guests: najee, rosie, sheila, john b., mike scott, etc. -- and everyone was having a wonder=full time!

I saw the first 18 shows of the US leg of the Lovesexy tour...so that one ranks up there at the top for me.
