If MTV or BET or another channel CHOOSES not to air it -- they are not BANNING anything -- this is the definition of "ban": 2 : to prohibit especially by legal means ; also : to prohibit the use, performance, or distribution of IF MTV were to pass on this clip, they are NOT prohibiting the use, performance or distribution of the clip. a) the video may not have even been submitted to MTV in the states yet. b) MTV might just pass on it because Prince is no longer a relevant artist to their current audience. c) they may have indeed passed on it for reasons you suggest, but you cannot back that statement up with a single ounce of proof. What kind of fucking proof do you need? Two people on this thread heard the report and people on other boards posted this same topic... But I guess they're all liars with an agenda to bash Americans and MTV eh? This may be common practice to you (obviously) but where I come from people don't post topics about an MTV item just to bash people from another country...
