different versions of 1999?

I was checking out Amazon.com and found a CD 1999 on sale.. the seller made a comment that it was an "original CD" and only had 10 songs.. omitted DMSR.
Could someone expand on this?? I never heard about this before. or maybe this copy is a CD-R...

thanks

The original issue of 1999 on CD didn't include the track D.M.S.R.
In those days they couldn't fit as much on a CD as you can now, so they either had to release
it as 2 discs, or leave off one of the tracks. So they decided on the latter. D.M.S.R. was chosen
as the track to leave off because it had already been made available on CD on a sountrack
album (I've forgotten which movie off the top of my head). Of course as CDs improved, D.M.S.R.
could be reinstated.
