I know he was probably wrapped up in the show and talking the talk but he had this whole section of the show which lasted about 5 minutes 'taking the piss' out of the people at the back. It started with him having all the NPGMC members down the front turn round to face the back rows and sing "Join the Club" over and over again. 
Then he went on to say that,after the show, he was going on to a club to hang out with his "friends" who had joined the NPGMC  and if we cared about him we would...."join the club"  and of course,if we wanted the good seats next time we should...yep you guessed it "Join the club"
Why did it make me mad??? Because there I was,a member since day one,stuck at the back because they fucked up my tickets and having to listen to all the lucky people down the front teasing me...with Prince's permission!!!!!
I just thought it was a little silly and that,for me, it slightly spoiled the evening  "...yes join the club, drink the puprle kool-aid, reach higher ground, free your mind I am your leader now...Mmmwaahhahah!!!  If you will, so will I | |

It was DEFINITELY in 2002 when the NPGMC didn't fulfill its agreement of releasing the 3 ALBUMS(Xenophobia, Last December and The Best of  ) we were promised. We were PISSED to high heaven!! We did get C-note and Xenophobia though(without Xenophobia...damn!) I just wished we could have gotten Last December and The Best of just to see what was on both of them. 10. Cancelling the Prince at the Palace gig at Blenhiem. 9. The attack on Uptown magazine 8. Letting pretty girls take exclusive seats in front of queueing fans in 93. 7. Not delivering the albums in 2002 6. The wait and heat at "The Dawn" gig. 5. Re-selling "xclusive" material. 4. Making me sleep out for London SOTT tickets only to cancel the gigs. Twice! 3. Attacking his own fan websites 2. The Crystal Ball fiaso and..... 1. The seating fiasco on the opening night at London in 2002. Plus 1 song sound check! . | |
