Rediscovering albums

i bought diamonds and pearls a while ago and kinda slept on it because i bought the symbol album at the same time and fell in love with it. I listened todiamonds and pearls today and it totally blew me away. are there any p albums that any of you have rediscovered that had a profound effect on you. i'm curious to know the personal effect of p's music on others. thanks!

I have found myself listening to The Gold Experience (Dolphin) and some NPGMC stuff (Y Should I do That When I Can Do This?) alot lately, especially Dolphin.

Earlier this year I discovered Rainbow Children. I hated it when I first bought it in 2002 and wouldn't listen to it. This year I started pulling out my lesser listened-to Prince stuff and fell in love with it. The music is awesome.

During the summer I rediscoved Gold. Liked it when I bought it but hadn't listened to it in a long while. I listened to it all summer.

A few weeks ago I watched Rave unto the year 2000. Bought it when it first came out but wasn't too into it. A few weeks ago, to ease my concert withdrawl I wanted to watch any live Prince footage that I could. Pulled out the Rave dvd and enjoyed it immensley. I love him with long hair. Then I saw the video for Greatest Romance ever sold and almost lost my mind! Started liking the song again so I pulled out the Rave to the Joy fantastic cd. Started liking several of those songs again.

Prince and Emancipation were two that I really had been snoozing on zzz
but now I swear they are 2 of my favorites of the moment!
Especially since I played Musicology, 1999, and Parade to death!!

This may sound silly but now I wanna rediscover Purple Rain
Truthfully I love that album but I rarely listen to it
Ya'll know what I mean
If you will, so will I

I did the same with Gold recently...I always liked that album...but I definitely re-discovered it this summer. Also, Graffiti Bridge. I edited it down to all the Prince songs and now I love it more than ever.
