I bet he has that evil laugh too.... I totally agree with you on the arrogance statement.. it makes him who he is! Without it i probably wouldnt like him as much. LOVE:
1. His bisexual/biracial look. His look totally makes people wonder about his sexuality and his race. 2. His arrogance. I love the fact that he flaunts his feminine side in your face and doesn't give a damn if you like it or not. His arrogance in his music helps it also. The fact that someone so feminine looking could out-rock some of the hardest rockers and jam harder than the some of the hardest funkateers. 3. His mystery. Sometimes the less you know about someone...the better. The fact that there is so much that you don't know about him makes him seem larger than life. The more you get to know someone personally, they start appearing more human. 4. His talent.....this needs no explanation, just two words.....his talent. 5. He's a perfectionist and can do everything by himself without the help of anyone and it must be done his way or NO way. HATE: 1. The style change in 1985. The albums since then have been wonderful but they are NOTHING compared to the work he did before 1985. He likes so many different styles of music but if you really think about it, basically everything since 1985 have one thing in common....a retro 1960s/1970s sound. Don't get me wrong, this is a good sound but I prefer by far the synth early 1980s "Minneapolis Sound". If he wants to do retro.....that would be considered retro in 2004.....something for him to think about. 
2. Selling out to rap and hip hop sometimes. Hip hop from the 1990s until recent times is midtempo, weak sounding, and extremely boring. No one out there is jamming anymore except Prince. Prince is the only one left keeping the funk alive. Hip hop needs to go out of style so we can get back to jamming and I don't need Prince selling out to it sometimes and giving it strength to continue. 3. The fact that he has become a Jehovah's Witness. I see this as a strict, intolerant religion that looks down on the rest of the world. Prince has always been a figure of religious and sexual freedom. This religion goes against everything he worked so hard for in the past. 4. The changing of the lyrics in his music because he feels they are explicit....that's the Jehovah's Witness influence. 5. Some of the ugly outfits he wore in the "Parade" era such as hip hugger pants and bellbottoms. Andy is a four letter word. | |
