Of all Prince's proteges........

Why didn't Prince have Shiela E. appear in any of his movies? Numerous proteges appear in "Purple Rain"... fewer in "Under the Cherry Moon"..... and a crap load of folks made their way into "Graffiti Bridge." What's up? hmmm

Didn't you see Ms. Sheila "Fuck it, I'll go" E in Krush Groove?!!?!?!

I mean Prince and nobody in his camp were Oscar contenders but Sheila's role in Sign O' The Times suited me just fine biggrin

What do you mean the Original version. Are there more than one?

nodWhen you dig up Krush Groove, you definitely take me back. I remember her trying to rap in that movie w/the Holly Rock song.

I see what you mean...she wasn't in any of the three features besides the concert...good question...maybe she was busy, on tour with someone else, or maybe she just didn't want to act [anymore] I don't have the dates of when she did KG and ain't gonna bother searching right now...

Yup, the orig. GB (album) was the follow-up to SOTT.

You should be able to still find the early script floating around the net, I remembering getting it in, 1997/98 online.

Makes even less sense than the released version (if that's possible!) - Interesting read though.

As always, pick up The Vault for the low-down http://www.uptown.se/

Was Sheila in Sign O' the Times? (well that shows how much i know about Prince)
That is the only movie starring Prince which i havent seen yet. I cant find it anywhere in shops and i dont have a credit card so i am unable to buy it from ebay.. I cant hire it from video stores either ( they never stock it) Very annoying..

Sign O The Times is a concert film with little vignettes in between a couple songs involving some sort of relationship between Cat and Prince. As it is a concert film, yes Sheila is in it (she was his drummer from 1987-1989).

Snap

Whatever happened to that film Prince, Vanity, and others were doing during the Triple Threat tour of '82/'83? That's the one I want to see.

There is an even earlier one, the one I was talking about - with the other set of characters (Camille Blue, Ruthie Washington).

If I find it, I will post it smile
