O(+> and around the world in a day! Ok, well it was my b-day last week, and i thought i will go searching 4 a new prince album, and i came across these 2 and i was soooo excited, because i have wanted "atwiad" for years, and same with "love  ", but when i finally got 2 listen 2 them, i was really disappointed, manly at "love " album, it just sounded like a shitter version of D&P's, some of the lyrics r really bad, and the sum songs just sound annoying, and with "atwiad" the songs aren't long enough lol damn that gets on my tits, i love the long version of "america" but Y isn't it on the album??!?!?!

Symbol is one of those albums where you take bits and pieces and choose what's best for you. I'd just as soon remove the segues with Kirstie Alley, cut out our favorite punching bag Tony M, and listen to it form there. omg...i just bought atwiad and i LOVE it!! it's like a hippie album. i play it everyday. the only songs i don't like are condition of the heart and temptation. GlamSlamKid...The resident clown on Prince.orgy

Give it time.
is clearly a better rounded record than D&P, it's over-blown, but the number of great tracks far out-weighs D&P.
ATWIAD does take some getting into I guess, the fact that Prince purposely made this album after PR tells us it is meant to be the anti-christ of Purple Rain, it starts out with 3 mid-tempo tracks, and doesn't go pop until the 4th track. ATWIAD is a fantastic record throughout. | |

atwiad is in my top5 fave prince cds!
actually i just bought "love " yesterday and you're my best friend cuz and god created woman is my absolute fave song @ the moment as well!
i bought d&p yesterday too and i did enjoy "love " better but you cant forget gems like money dont matter 2night lol...that was prolly one of the better ones on that cd | |

I wasn't disappointed at "Atwiad" that much, i love the album and have played it every day since, it's just i wish he put the long versions in!

Although after listening to the cd a couple of times i believe it grows on you, i truly love the love symbol album lol.. I suppose at times the lyrics are a bit shitty, but who cares.. over all i would say a very good and solid album wasproduced, and it was definitely better than D&P.. | |
