Grafitti Bridge secret - Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic in movie

Notice when she is flipping thru the kid's sheet music. One of the songs is titled "Rave Un2 the Joy Fantastic". Interesting that this song was probably written in 1990.

Try 1988. It was going to be the next Prince album before the Batman project came up.

I always thought that song sounded like it was made around the "Batman" era. That's probably why it's one of the few songs I like from the "Rave" album.

didn't he first perform this song during one of the Lovesexy aftershows back in Aug '88 or so? i know he also offered it to Tim Burton to be part of the Batman film -- clips of which can be heard in "200 Balloons" (b-side to "Batdance")

It was released in the early 90s on the now legendary Small Club bootleg, which was a recording from a 1988 aftershow

No. Matter of fact, none of the songs on the 1999 version of Rave were apart of that tracklist (aside, of course, from the title song which is pretty much uncut save for a bit at the end).

Was one of my first B--tlegs. A great "Just My Imagination" too on that one. It's no suprise tho. "Can't Stop This Feeling..." was written pre-Purple Rain I think in 1979. And Prince has also admitted that some of the jams on Musicology were written years ago.

So much in the VAULT

I couldn't tell when the song was written, but the music is a little hard to pinpoint imo, I like it though...

Secret? It is clear to see in the movie and as has also been said portions appear in BATDANCE. I read an article where P said that he didn't release it at the time it was written as it sounded too similar to KISS!

Rave was one of the songs initially submitted for the film, but was rejected.

I think the 'Kiss' quote might have been recent, i.e. 1999, but I'm not sure.

That is maybe coz I remember there was a boot, entitling RAVE as RADE.. I think it was the THE HAGUE, Paard van Trioje boot....

So he is still in 88 i guess? neutral
