Why isn't Cinnamon Girl on MTV or VH1? Come on ppl, I'm wondering after watching 4 hours of Mtv and Vh1, Why isn't PRINCE's latest video not on either channel yet?
All these crap videos, I've been seeing...from Good Charlotte to Britney Spears, they've gotta add: CINNAMON GIRL to the playlist! Its the perfect concept video to add to a playlist of other pop acts of today...its a nice ditty! After viewing it on aol music and npgmusicclub, I'd think PRINCE and SONY would want to get this single out there on radio and tv...being that the video is so great and he obviously paid a good amount of cash to get the Whale Rider Actress in it...plus the graphics of this video are so cool. Ppl can't say PRINCE doesn't appeal to the POP SCENE Today, because he wouldn't have been one of the TOP GROSSED Concerts of 2004, plus having the impact he did in sale(s) of MUSICOLOGY in its first week, without concert adds, plus MTV playing the hell out of MUSICOLOGY, enough to nominate it at this years VMA's, not to mention...all the buzz from THE GRAMMYS to ROCK N' ROLL HALL OF FAME, and even high profile appearances on The Tonight Show to Ellen and Tavis! PRINCE was all over the place and brought the HOUSE DOWN in every city he toured throughout the MUSICOLOGY EXPERIENCE! It just can't be over! If Britney can get this horrible single played on radio and the new video, is just tacky! If Good Charlotte could get their confused image of 'GOTH MEETS PUNK AND POP' to MTV, then PRINCE deserves a few spins on the channel with CINNAMON GIRL, I'd think alot of the kids who watches MTV could really get into this song and video, because its a simple, animated, video, with a great meaning to it! So why isn't this video on Mtv or Vh1? We need to VOTE AT TRL on MTV.COM or E-mail VH1!!! PRINCE DESERVES PLAY...He isn't dead yet! I'm wondering if the video has even been shipped to MTV and VH1. We may have gotten a sneak preview before it hits the airwaves. I'm going to be patient with this one. And if there's anyone to have any beef with over this it's Sony. They need to be pushing the music stations to play this video. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that | |

MTV and VH1 are pay to play. Maybe P or his promoters don't want to pay these guys any more $ than they already have. | |

no need to bash a perfectly good cover...britney's song is hot!
cinnamon girl would probably nor fare well with the mtv crowd but the mtv2 and vh1 audiences would be just the right demographic. | |

Concerning that God-awful Britney Cover of "my Perogative"...I really never thought that ANYTHING would have me wistfully wishing to hear Bobby (F-up) Brown again! This cover is soooo bad...shheeesh go out and buy some taste! Purplehead | |

I must agree. That cover is terrible, what with her breathy, nasally, helium sounding Minnie Mouse 'singing'. The video itself looks like an ad for lingerie or a 900 sex number. I'm sorry but Britney has the most annoying voice, imo. I don't like it. 
It's a sad time when that kind of stuff gets airplay but Prince doesn't. | |
