pop life --u.s. remix version vs u.k. extended version

as much as i like Sheila E.'s US remix, the UK remix is better, keeping the integrity of the song in tact.
you look better on your facebook page than you do in person hmph!

I am not a big an of Pop Life either, but I prefer the UK 12" version to the album version and to The Fresh Dance Mix (or whatever it is called)

I think the UK 12" is one of, if not, the best, extended version of any song.

It never feels too stretched, and the extra verses make it very special.

I'm not a big fan of the fresh dance mix. Its got than really irritating clicking castanet thing going on.

i like 'em both pretty much equally. the UK version is way cool, but the US version holds a lot more memories.

How can you tell the difference between the two?

I remember back in 85 it said Sheila remixed the 12" but now I listen to a MP3 version and not sure which it's based on.

It has the lines about "What's the matter with your sex? Is 15 minutes your best"? Is that the UK Version?

That's on both versions. The one with the pop,pop life sung by Wendy&Lisa in the beginning is the UK version

i made my own edit. the first half of the uk version with the second half of the us version.

the uk version is way too long. i love long songs, i adore the 12" version of i would die 4 u, for example . but the uk version of pop life just goes on forever! a a million chorus's over and over and over and over ...
Keep your headphones on.

Now y'all are you confusing me.....

My version is pretty similar to the album version... it just has extra parts.

The beginning is the same. (although I Just put in one ear of my ipod and noticed there is a delay in one channel vs the other in prince's voice!)

The total running time is about 9 minutes.

SO which is UK? And which did Sheila do?

Swish! cool

I was just gonna post if anyone did this.

I prefer the Fresh Dance Mix, but only for the "La, la, la, la" bit, I wish that went on for longer.
