It depends on how you decide to define 'associated artist'.

Tyka Nelson, for example, is only associated with Prince because of their relation to each other rather than any musical collaboration. Similarly artists such as Tony Lemans, Jacob Armen and Good Question were associated with the Paisley Park label, but with no known Prince musical input.

If you wanted to complete a list of artists to whom Prince has originally given a song which they have recorded and released (and usually before Prince officially released the same song himself), then you should add to some of those listed (apologies where I repeat some - I've included other artists for example who feature on the 1-800NEWFUNK project):

Paula Abdul
Deborah Allen
The Bangles
Dale Bozzio
Joe Cocker
Margie Cox
El Debarge
Earth, Wind & Fire
Elisa Fiorillo
Fonky Bald Heads
Nona Hendryx
Howard Hewitt
Kid Creole and the Coconuts
Kahoru Kohiruimaki
Patti Labelle
Lois Lane
Monie Love
No Doubt
Mica Paris
Kenny Rogers
The Steeles
Three O'Clock
Van Gogh
Ren Woods

Nikka Costa is likely to be added to this list shortly and there is believed to be a song given to a projected album by Kip Blackshire which has yet to see the light of day.

The list would expand further if artists with whom Prince has worked on musical recordings, are added:

e.g.

Ani Difranco
Kate Bush
Common
Sheryl Crowe
Aretha Franklin and James Brown etc....

... and the list begins to become unwieldy if you expand it further to include people with whom he has shared the stage to perform music:

e.g.

Erykah Badu
Lenny Kravitz
Stevie Wonder etc...

.
