Do u think Prince will cover a Ramones' song?

Which one would you pick? I think "I'm not Afraid of Life" would be perfect. He's done tributes to fallen heroes on the Musicology tour. I would say with 3 out of 4 of the original members of the Ramones now dead, he could find space for one song (he does do "Whole Lotta Love," so I know he can rock, therefore he is). Another one that would be great would be "Howling at the Moon."

Any other suggestions? Do you think he'd ever consider it? Is there any way to put the idea into his head?

Luv & Peace,
Alex

Another one that I think would be HILARIOUS to hear him cover, and would mess his non-Ramones fans completely up, would be "Teenage Lobotomy."

I don't think so, but it would be Supercool if he did.

He already did almost 25 years ago when instead of singing Ramone-esque lyrics he sang about incest.

it would probably be a really horrific re-working like "sheila is a funk soldier" instead of "sheena is a punk rocker". disbelief

My prematurely deceased dog. Her death was harder on me than anything else. I was diagnosed as epileptic after having my first grand-mal (tonic-clonic) seizure at 24 years old (any other epileptic Prince fans here?). I was diagnosed with a fatal heart condition at 28 years old. Almost all of my best friends from high school are dead (the latest just died two weeks ago in a four-wheeler accident). But losing Brady (my dog, my avatar) was the toughest thing of them all. It's still painful.

I hope you'll take the time to check out the tribute I wrote to her. It has TONS more pics of my cute dog and it's as heartfelt as words can get. It's not a twisted promotion. Their are no ads, just honesty and love.

Click here for my tribute and eulogy to my 'Avatar'!

I'm guessing you got more than you bargained for when you asked this question. I just want to keep the memory of Brady (my dog) alive. Like Prince, I guess I can be overly-sentimental. wink

Luv & Peace,
Alex

I can just imagine:

"Well the new funk soldiers are all funked up and ready to groove.
(They’re ready to groove now)
They got their satin lace and purple face
And they’re ready to move, now.
But she just had to stray,
she had to break away
and The Rainbow Children really has it all --
Oh yeah, oh yeah!

Sheila is a Jehovah Witness,
Sheila, she means business!
Sheila is a Graham fan now!
A Graham fan, Graham fan,
she knock on your door, cuz she can,
Sheila is a funk soldier, now!"

That'll prolly only be funny to those who've heard the original song.

Oh well.

Luv & Peace,
Alex

Nah, he won't do it. Woulda suited him back in 1980...but I see few remnants left of P's punk influence.
