His spirit seems lighter nowadays.

Oh, absolutely!

Sure he's written songs about them but, that doesn't necessarily mean that he resolved any issues he had with those events. And we as fans may never hear anything. I think religion his how he's coping with his issues for the moment. And, that's not to say that he's insincere about his new found beliefs. He certainly seems happier and that's a good thing.

I'd agree that he hasn't used music to pubicly express his feelings about those things most personal to him in recent times e.g. The Rainbow Children, whilst a pretty heavy album, still avoids becoming too "personal" (even if it has managed to offend the majority of the online fanbase ) Like you suggest, Ifsixwuz9, it appears he's using (or has used) the medium of religion in which to find closure.

Why do some of you feel the need to (over-) analyse the man's psyche ??!! , when obviously
everything is based on speculation , since nobody really knows him !!!

Quite simply, analysing an artist's motivations & behaviour helps creates a picture into the actual character making the music. One certainly doesn't need to "know" Prince personally, in order to analyse him well. This kind of discussion is not to everyone's taste, interest or comprehension, but it can be enjoyable and insightful to those willing to engage in it.

Do you have any thoughts/opinions on the original questions, Dewrede?
