It was originally entitled 'I'll never Open My Legs Again' and was composed by Sandra St Victor.
When she agreed to collaborate with Prince, she gave him a tape of the song together with others, and Prince worked on the song independently, giving it to Chaka Khan - as acknowledged on St Victor's website.
