as someone who was once married to a jehovahs witness i find it funny how they are all lumped together. my ex is no prude and she struggles with shit just like anyone else, and she jammed all of my prince shit when we were together. she tries, which is humanity at it's essence but she never ever judged me. Prince added elements to my curiousity and acting out as a sexual being when i was young, but every generation has an erotic soundtrack so that does not qualify him as sexual god. Remember, the sound "ah" is included in all names that we use to call a higher power (Ja, Allah, Jehovah) , it is also used ("ahh") when we cum.

oh yeah, and just because you can speak in graphic detail about your sexual organs dont make you more "real" or "sexually liberated" than the next person, maybe funny but not real. To love prince is to love him in all of his wonderful incarnations, i like him preachy, politically lost , and profane because no matter what it will be different. And besides, you know what they say if you gotta "talk it" theres probably a good chance you cant walk it.

i think your perception is inaccurate. although it's possible to be quite trashy here on the ORG the rules are, in fact, enforced to a good degree. if you spent more time here 'pegasus' (if that is your real name) you'd notice that outright hateful stuff is banned on the ORG. there is nothing truly evil on this message board. (unless, of course, you happen to be prince and hate that strangers talk about you which would be ironic for a public figure who absolutely goes out of his way to court public notice).

speaking of the NPGMC - have the moderators finally removed the hateful rhetoric against homosexuals? have they begun to censor those who insult non-christians? is it possible to have an actual critical discussion of prince's music over there yet? or are posts that 'disagree' still snipped right and left? please tell me, i wouldn't know because i rarely ever go there. you see, i find the oppressively 'moral' tone of the website somewhat nauseating, especially the hypocrisy that accompanies the simultaneously self-righteous tone that accompanies, say, gay-bashing.

so i've learned to overlook the trashy side of the ORG and enjoy the rest. at least it's honest and more or less hypocrisy-free since most of us on this website aren't trying to impress prince with our posts. imo here on the ORG occasional trash is the price we pay for relative freedom of speech.

Pegasus, I may not agree with all you say but I can see where you are coming from. The Org used to be different but it's not the vulgarity that is turning me off. Prince was a freak, and is still a freak. TRC had him singing about a woman masturbating and Musicology has him singing about going down south. To me, the problem stems from some of threads I read in this particular forum lately. I will never down someone for their opinion, epsecially because there are some mant that are done respectfully but some of the stuff that is said about Prince is mind boggling to me.
