you sure it's the December 2004 issue for Black Beat? Is that magazine that far ahead? Usually mags in the states are one month ahead of time, give or take.

About friggin' time. For a while now, you never saw his face on that magazine. Not since the early 90's at least. But I remember in the 80's when he was all over them magazines.

Black Beat has always been many months ahead, so I am certain this is correct even though I haven't seen this issue yet...

Wow,I haven't read an issue of Black Beat since the early 90s! But it's remarkable that they would put Prince on their cover. These days, they focus primarily on rappers (like Vibe). The last time Prince appeared on the cover was in 1991,just before the release of D&P.I wonder if journalist Steve Ivory still writes for this magazine? That man always told it like it is!

This is from the website-
Moving on from what turned out to be a blazin'-hot summer of urban music -- making way for what promises to be a superstar-jammed autumn -- is our exciting, information-loaded "Fall Music's Flyest Fellas" issue. Front and center on our cover, having made an impactful comeback -- is none other than legendary music icon, PRINCE. During a sit-down chat with The Beat, a down-to-earth Prince talked about everything from why he doesn't perform his racy songs of the past, what inspired his Musicolgy CD and his killer Grammy performance with Beyonce', to what the younger music stars of today ought to be thinking about.
