Which do you prefer
the Solo Piano (which was really solo)
Or the solo acoustic guitar (which was really solo)

dont think I can choose they both are amazing love comeback , welcome 2 the dawn ,facination ,and both sides of the pillow.but I also love one nite alone ,here on earth ,pearls before the swine ,and a case of you.if it came down 2 it I think the truth album might just win.

Neither is perfect, but both are inspired in places. LOVE The Truth, Dont PLay Me, Circle Of Amour, Comeback, Welcome 2 The Dawn. On ONA I love ONA, A Case Of U, U're Gonna C Me, Avalance, Pearls Before The Swine & Y&B. I think i prefer The Truth overall because of when he recorded / released it. It was the perfect statement to the reaction towards Emancipation (which btw I hate), and does indeed sound like the truth, however ONA was so special when it came out. For about 4 months I had that and The Rainbow Children playing on my stereo, they just sound so organic and beautiful.

So there you go, ultimately I cant decide. Maybe you could create some kind of hybrid album, acoustic piano & guitar, the best off each.....now that would be some album.

The saddest thing is neither got a proper comercial release. Critics and the public will seldom here some of the amazing songs on these albums - albums which would provide some credibility when put in comparison with the likes of Emancipation, NPS & NEWS.. Another chapter in the Prince book of cock-ups.

Both good albums, but I feel The Truth has 2 or 3 weak songs, while ONA is pretty much quality throughout.
