I would really like to see him do an record with Jesse Johnson. People seem to forget how funky that brotha' was and still is.

Jesse Johnson could not STAND Prince. I would b 'HARD PRESSED' 2 see THAT happen. Their guitar rivalry was WAAAAY strong 'back in da day'. If they collaborated though, it would b EXPLOSIVE. People think the 'Best of Both Worlds' is the 'shiznit'. ha. Prince & Jesse? That ball would b hit SOOOOO far out of the park, it's incomprehensible.

Okay, guys. I know Bobby Z personally because he lived next door to me in Minnesota in 1982 (1981-83 around that time) and from what I know, Bobby Z was a pretty hack drummer, not really the best. Also, he described Prince as a little Hitler because he had no freedom artistically and pretty much had to do exactly what Prince ordered. In addition, did the revolution even play the instruments on the recordings? Even during shows, a drum machine was playing the whole time and Bob said he just had to back up the drum machine that Prince programmed and that his role as a drummer was mainly just for looks. He couldn't wait to get out from under Prince's thumb.

So tell me, how could it possibly have been his greatest band under those circumstances? Isn't his current band far more talented and spontaneous? I think the Musicology tour is far superior instrumentally than my weak memories of the 1999 tour.

I do like Wendy and Lisa's back up vocals a lot, but exactly in what way was the Revolution superior?

lol Around here he's treated with impunity regardless of that by a lot of folks because of the very fact that he was part of the Revolution.

Not exaxtly a Revolution renunion, however id love to hear what he could produce with Wendy & Lisa again as creatively I think they brought so much to this bands wonderful work. Technically I dont really think any of the revolution have anything on Princes current band (except being able to supply backing vocals - what doesn't prince believe in this now???? - OH and I also really dig some of Wendy's rhythm guitar playing), however Id love to hear some studio collaboration with wendy & lisa. Prince has grown a lot as an artist and musician since they split (as Id assume have W&L), so it would be exciting if not extremely fruitful if they put their heads together now.....I do however have the feeling that prince would be less open to contributions than he was back then so i cant really see it happening.....that said i never thought id see them play together again either so who knows.....they MUST have discussed it when they got together to perform Reflection.

No. But Wendy and Lisa back for an album, with John Blackwell drumming, could be interesting.

What CRACK YOU ON!

You suck!!!!!

Yes, Prince should do another album with the Revolution. HMMMM, could it be they were the band that went with him to the top of the top. I mean, over everything. Obviously, they had a strong directional power on Prince. If you listen to Wendy and Lisa's stuff up till now, they still sound they same funkish shit as Controversy. So, W&L gave Prince his ideas or Prince gave them their's. In either case, W&L are still deeply into the Minneapolis funk sound and could give a shit bout the Musicology. However, not that they wouldn't respect it, its just they stayed true to their leader and their leader was mislead. Sad.

So, Prince would do such great things to his career by going back to the Revolution. Imagine the publicity! All positive, and all about the time when he was with this group that spawned Lets go Crazy, When Doves Cry, Tamborine, Pop Life, Kiss, Under the Cherry Moon, 1999, The Beautiful Ones, Delirious, Lady Cab Driver, Little Red Corvette, All the Critics Love u in New York, etc.

Prince should come down from his cloud and do a couple albums with them. We are all just humans you know, and Prince isn't any different.

No. And that includes Wendy and Lisa. On record they were ok back-up vocalists, prince could overdub the flaws. Live, they sucked. One listen to the Funky Party Tonite boot from 1986 says it all. To be specific they, especially, Wendy sang off key, a lot.

Most definately. Andre's my favorite that came from the Prince camp and Jesse is my next favorite. Two guys that can definately give Prince a run for his money.

Hmm personally I would say leave the past in the past. It would just seem as if he was jumping an nostalgia bandwagon, making him look like a 'has been' by doing so.

Do you think Prince would allow off key??? They sang in the key that he wanted them to, why don't Wendy sound off key on anything else she's sings on?

Living in the past, dating yourself and never growing isn't always a good thing.

Really.

I dated myself once, and, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't suck my own dick.

What a boring first date.

Think I should remove a couple of ribs?

Before you ladies start with the highfives, Tony still SUCKS and the girls add beautiful lead and background vocals to the music they work on. So what does that tell you??
