I friend of mine is very much into gothic and black metal, and doom metal, and he said that he could hear somethings in 3 chains o gold that remebered him of gothic metal, or doom metal, i dont remember.

I agree that he could pull of black metal...his girly screams would really go with some scandinavian medieval shit!

Well, Prince did cover a Cannibal Corpse song at an aftershow back in '02.

I think he would b able 2 play death/black metal music.....but sincerly i can't imagine him doing it.....

prince and heavy metal is like when Ice T tried to do it and got in trouble for that song "cop killer".....its all pointless

Seriously though I don't think the two worlds would mix. Not just in musical terms as such but also in terms of creed and idealogy. Because for example you have Prince: Smartly dressed sophisticated, populist, Jehovahs Witness and than the flipside you have the average extreme metalhead (whoever that might be): a dressed down, misanthopic, right-wing, anti-christian. So as clich'e as it sounds it would only be like mixing electicity and water together if the two ever met!. So the advice to give to Prince if he ever thought on pursuing this would be to stay well clear. Speaking from personal experiance!.
