i must admit that i just heard love 2the9s for the first time. and i really really really like it. i guess there's a pro to missing some of princes music. you get to discover more and more good music even though it is old. despite fear of reaction to my lack prince knowledge,i have to say i'm just feelin' it right now and i have to post it.

Love 2 the 9's is a great track, one of my fav's of the album! And don't worry, I wish I could discover his stuff all over again, LOL...

One of my favorite track of the symbol album.

The first few verses are beautiful as is teh end...but the middle spoils it for me with the piss-poor rapping and Tony M grunting along...but its STILL one of my favs!!

love 2 the 9s is what i assume to be a creative use of the expression when someone is dressed "to the nines" or all dressed up, decked out.. like when you were a tux or w/e and get all fancied up.... Prince is using all those verbs to describe love, and that he wants this kind of love... (okay, so that part's not hard to get)..~

annnnnyways, yes it is an awesome song , aside from the booty booming.. ~

i distinctly remember hearing that song when i was younger (when my sister bought the album just for "7").. and wondering what the heck the song meant... especially the part about listening to the grass grow.. lol~

oh.. and ain't nuthin' wrong w/saving yourself for someone special ... in fact, i kinda like Prince's new theme of monogamy....~

oh my gawd that's the jam! Tony M's voice couldnt even ruin it. It also reminds me of a funny story about tony. He used to stash beer and weed in paisley in a mini fridge. He and damon (kirk was a kissup) kept the fridge in the furness room the only place they knew prince didnt frequent
