Who Cares...its been since April, and the album has maintained a great reign on the Top 200 Album Charts...# 13 is a great number to land at with an album that has maintained Top 10 positions for more that 15 weeks...

So to be in the Top 15 or 20 at its 21st week is great!

Prince come on with the new single and video, plus a few more promo performances...to carry it out while your on a break from touring now!

um...I'm looking for an Oprah Interview, SNL performance, plus Regis and Kelly and perhaps...Dave Letterman!
How about the American Music Awards? ooooh Billboard Awards...hmmm PRINCE could very well be performing on there this year!

For sure this has been a great run ..but get ready for the neysayers to come out in 2 weeks when the album really drops because of the end of the tour. He will get credit for his last 3 shows of the tour on NEXT weeks charts which should put him around #20. Then the great drop in Week 23, estimating he is pushing less than 10,000 at retail look for about a 100 position drop

I really don't care if the album falls completely off the chart. It's just no big deal. I do hope he opens SNL in a few weeks.

It really is a lackluster album. Let's get real with that. What has Prince really done to progress his artistry? It is only really about the bucks with him now.

Come on...now after all the releases this year, it isn't the worst!

I found myself listening to this album more than any prince album in the last few years.
I Dj, and I always get requests for...Life O' The Party, Musicology, Marrying Kind and The Pimp Song!

So its funny you should say lackluster when it been doing quite well on the charts with help of the concerts and so what if its not sheer brillance...Prince has nothing to prove.

G-Unit has something to prove.
Britney Spears has something to prove.

They both released Lack Luster albums...all their material suck...and still they get play and props.
Prince doesn't need to sell another album, because it hits or popularity... He just does!

My maliase has more to do with the faux controversy that has surrounded the Billboard strategy then anything else. Hell I listened to my fave tracks (3,6,7,8,9) yesterday. It's a nice album. But to be truly honest I haven't fell in love with an album since "Miseducation" WAY back in '98!

Now that the tour is over (4 now), "Musicology" is gonna fall down REAL quick on the charts!! I hate 2 c it because I really like the CD!! But now that the shows r over and the sales figures will now show the "sales" of the CD, it will fall in my guess at least 60 places in the charts. I will place my guess at number 77 in next weeks chart. Any1 have any guess?

Give it a rest !!! The Purple Rain era is over. Musicology sold over a half a million copies with out the concert tie ins. Pretty good for a 46 year old black man.
