NPD 313 I cannot agree with you more for a number of reasons:

1. It's never 2 late Alex (bruh)

2. this is a very radio freindly song

3. It's number 3 on the CD and that almost always the radio release on most pop albums

4. It's a perfect for the coming season and the perfect fall type of song for average radio listeners

5. This CD and what it has meant to Prince's career is very much like the Santana phenom the only thing it's missing is the hit single and this could be it

6. If so this CD has the chance to clinch more "real" sales and keep it in the top 20 into 2005

7. Columbia and P's strategy going in may well have been to release this single at this time when the tour is wrapping up to keep the momentum

8. And this strategy sets the stage for Prince to be huge at the Grammy's in February 2005

just a few thoughts...

1984
The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

If this is indeed true, it's good to hear a video'll be made for it. However, methnks it's a tad too late. Anyone else agree? Musicology failed as a decent leading single, and Call My Name didn't even get played on MTV and, what, maybe two weeks on VH1 (though its airplay on Urban radio is halfway decent). I think the Prince "comeback" (what the media likes to call it) tour has officially said "bye bye" once these US dates are done. A Million Days should've been the FIRST single from this CD, or at least following Musicology VERY closely, since it appeared no one was really getting into that song (not for lead-single status anyway). Now that his "comeback" is old news now, MTV & radio stations will be hard pressed to play anything else or "new" from this album, no matter how great the song is (which, if ya couldn't tell, I feel AMD is)!!!!

WAIT TILL THE END OF THE YEAR FOR THOSE AWARDS SHOWS, THE COME BACK HAS JUST BEGING!

AMD can get a lot of airplay. CMN has done well on a lot of stations - it's still #1 on Urban/AC and AMD should get airplay at all of those stations as well as stations that never played CMN.

btw: Is there anywhere to actually see the Call My Name video? the video on VH1.com won't play on the mac. And I can't even find the video at NPGMC.
