but does it say exactly when it was recorded and if it was ever considered for a future record?

In the Vault, I think it is referred to as We Got the Power. Recorded on October 15th 1988, between Lovesexy shows, originally was going to be included on the original Rave Unto the Joy Fantastic album, was then considered for use on the Batman album but was scrapped. The chorus was reused on Carmen Electra's Power From Above in 1991, a track left off her 1993 album.

Reember the Carmen electra outtake that used this sample again.....on the chorus! Song was called "Power from above" and thanx to the sheer enormous production of the track alone, shoulda made the final album.....the steeles sound good on this track, love that intro!
