prince's most irresponsable lyric

my opinion in the song dear mr man
where he state no need to vote
this is the most important issue facing america
we need to all come together and speak our voice and vote
to get the warmongers out of office
Prince should be his most political right now
as he has always talked about war.
when the wrong people are in office it is are duty as american
to exxpress our vote and let the world know that the american people
are not behind reckless leaders hijacking our country
just as the nazi"s in the 1930

It would have to be Animal Kingdom.
When he says "I don't eat red meat or white fish...etc" it just breaks my heart.

I mean, I think of all those poor fruits and vegitables planted in the earth, unable to run away from those of us who pick them and sensesly devour them.

At least animals and fish can run away and have a fighting chance.

worship worship worship worship This is the best thread I've read here on the org for quite some time worship worship. Prince really should feel ashamed for having written something irresponsibkle and dumb like that. sigh

Bush and Kerry: two white males who went to the same school, and joined the same club at the same time.
Same song with a different name

He doesn't say don't vote, he says no use.
Think about it
Now I'm older than movies, Now I'm wiser than dreams, And I know who's there

I was never fond of the lyrics from 'Race'.

I know that he means well and all, but...

"I dont wanna know (I don't wanna know)
Why those before us hated each other

I'd rather believe they never did
I'd rather believe (I'd rather, I'd rather believe)
That there's hope 4 a kid".
"London, i've adopted a name that has no pronounciation.... is that cool with you?"

"YEAH!!!"

"Yeah, well then fuck those other fools!"

Prince is a musical genius, but even a novice historian, he'll never be.

Co-sign. He is/was so naive.
I would also like to add that line in I Wanna Melt With U when he says something about 'Look, there's a river of blood.' confused Not cool.

I'd second that. I've always seen the line as an expression of his despair.

personally i think the less people that vote the better.....for the most part the masses are ignorant and selfish, not the kind of people we need to lead/direct this country.

"I'm going to have to rape you now" from Extra Lovable. Kick ass song except for that lyric. In theory the song was supposed to be for Vanity 6 ... but still.

I CAN ARGUE WITH THE NOT EVERY ONE SHOULD VOTE
EVERY AMERICAN SHOULD VOTE IN EVERY PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION
IT SHOULD BE TOUGHT AT SCHOOL THAT IT IS YOUR RESPONSABLITY
AS AN AMERICAN TO GET AS MUCH INFO ON EACH CANIDENT AND VOTE
IT IS UNAMERICAN NOTE TO VOTE

True... how is that all the presidents have been coming out of Yale lately? And if Kerry gets in, that'll make another -- and the third president to be part of the "same club" as well. Hmm. The 2-party system is a smokescreen.

Condemning those poor tourists at Disneyland. Also poking fun at the tourists with 89 flowers on their backs. I am sure that he regrets those mean spirited lyrics.

most JW's don't vote, and they refuse to stand during the national anthem. their allegiance is to God alone. they are waiting for God to make His perfect kingdom here on earth before they become involved politically.
