Crystal Ball, Emancipation, or both? After doing a little browsing, I found both the Crystall Ball and Emancipation albums on sale at the super cheap price of $5 each. I had always heard how valuable these two boxsets were for the Prince fan, but I couldn't decide which of the two to pick up or both. So, I'm in a pickle, guys. You can't go wrong w/ C.B. Emancipation SUCKED, and only had two really good songs on it that I liked, after wading through A WHOLE LOT of filler. Emancipation is one of my favorites (disc 2 especially). Crystall Ball has a lot of good stuff on it. Get both. In fact, get a few extra while your at it.
BTW, where is this deal at? I'm thinking I could get a some extra as backup or presents. | |

They are both really good. Emancipation is a hell of a lot better than most want to admit here in orgland. (Insert something clever here) |

about Emancipation
It had about 6 bad songs on it. But six out of 36 songs is a pretty good ratio. I think if Prince has more than 1 or 2 songs you don't care for, even if it's a 3-cd / 3 hour album, people tend to think the entire thing sucks. I really like Emancipation. Eventhough it's a little to slickly produced, it show's Prince's ability ty as a pop artist. Crystal Ball was o.k. | |

Definitely buy Crystal Ball NOW! Just because it's a great deal, and you would be stupid to miss it. I paid $40 for it!  I like Emancipation just as much, and I can't say one is better then the other musically. But it's about 10 bucks everywhere, so if you have to pick one over the other, go for Crystal Ball. But I would say to get both. They're worth it. | |

ok either the poster is quite young or this post is a joke. Why would any fan of prince ask if spending 5 dollars for a 3 disc set of music is worth it? It is just STUPID. I'm sure u blow 5 dollars at Mcdonald's and don't agonize over it. get real. | |

I second this and also say get both sets. They are both fantastic. U may not like EVERY SINGLE song, but probably 95% of it. And that's 66 friggin songs you're talking about. It would cost you $66 just to download all of that and you found it all for $10!!! A complete steal! Sucka!   | |
