I agree. As much as i love 1999, it does sound a little dated, whereas SOTT could be released today and still sound new. So my vote is for SOTT

vivid	Sign 'O' The Times. Love 1999 to the extreme, but prefer SOTT for the title track, the ballad (Adore) and probably my favourite song yet heard, If I Was Your Girlfriend.
