Will Prince's new material be an NPGMC only release, or will he release the album first, then eventually release it in stores?

I think that he will do both like he did with TRC. He is in this to make money after all.I know that some of you will be say that he shouldn't because it should be limited to club members.I think he would want as much done with it as possible.Why just limit yourself to just the diehards when he can try to reach others with his music.You know that you will not hear it on the radio cause no matter how hard you try to get it played on the radio.Stations are turning a deaf ear to Prince because of the stupidity of radio which I listen to very little of as possible. I wish the world was different but it isn't. Some people want to just hear rock music from him and I want it all.Funk,jazz,soul and rock cause I know that he does all those styles but radio can't handle him because he can't be pigeonholed in one category which is the joy of being a fan dare I say that.

I have asked NPGMC (as, I believe, others have). The indication was that any or all of the 2002 NPGMC material could be given general release at a later date, although - if this were to be the case - there may be some difference in the packaging.

Of course, as with everything of this nature related to Prince, nothing is certain.

i hope he does because i always like to read the reviews, even if there bad. 'One Nite Alone' soounds as though it would win over the critics. 'A Case Of You' nearly makes me cry its so good! and 'Hear On Earth' MUST be about Matye.

endorphine do yourself a favor and go out and buy the original version of "A Case of U" After hearing Joni's you will rename Prince's take "A case of Poo". For the love of God he took off the two best verses

But keep in mind, it did say on the npgmc that these takes were only demos 4 the 'one nite alone' album cut during the final mixing of TRC, so perhaps there'll be some changes...

Admitting, the original is a brilliant song, but I do like Prince's version as well. It just makes me wonder why he wouldn't stay more true 2 the original. Especially since he's commented on people covering his songs and that you shouldn't change anything that's perfect 2 begin with.....

A criticism often made of Prince is the claim he releases too much - that triple cds are interesting but it could be edited down to one cd. Perhaps that is what will happen with the NPGMC releases - he will edit three cds down to one and release that one cd commercially. Dedicated fans will have the expanded cds with exclusive tracks & everyone will be happy.

I hope 2 get more 4 my $100 annual membership than an opportunity 2 buy material a few months b4 the rest of the world. Actually, been wondering lately what that 100 bucks is getting me in "year 2", other than 1st crack at the tickets. NPGMC has been Sssllllooowwww with new info, and I truthfully get most of my news here, unofficial or otherwise.
