JW censorship

I was reading on another forum about certain Prince songs having to pass JW censorship and there was a mention about Cream. I always thought the song was about sexual activity but someone have broken down certain parts of the song that makes me reconsider. Now I am wondering who does this analysis for JW censorer? Does Prince himself interprets the songs for the censorer? I wonder how that makes him feel having to defend, explain his thought process when he created one of his masterpieces.

Well, in all fairness, I don't think "Mellow" would have passed JW censorship either if it was
applied strictly and unwaveringly.

Neither would Prince have performed with Wendy on the Tavis Smily show and neither would
"United States Of Division" have the lines "Black white straight gay christian muslim" etc.....

Prince is obviously JW now, he's hinted at as much time and time again, but he seems to
do it on his own terms like he does everything HIS own way.

What makes you so certain there is a JW censor? The suggestion that one exists on a thread in another forum?

There is no such thing as a JW censor.

I think he can decide what's appropriate himself, and decide if something is inappropriate due to his beliefs. I don't think he would put himself in a position were he would be forced to explain and defend his art against censorship.

I don't know if they have a censor or not but I certainly wouldn't be surprised. Remember all the heat they gave Michael Jackson when he made the "Thriller" video? They need to get a life.
