If you can afford it, buy the album, 'Blue'. It now retails at a low price for what many regard as a classic album: ten tracks which epitomise Mitchell's early 70's acoustic style, and which for many, including - I guess - Prince, paint evocative personal pictures. (If you don't like the album - just pass it on to someone you think might appreciate it).

Blue is an amazing album. "A Case Of You" is the best song on there, but I also really like

"The Last Time I Saw Richard" and "River".

The one song of Joni's which makes me realise just how much Prince was influenced by her is 'Shadows And Light' from The Hissing Of Summer Lawns album.
'Welcome 2 The Dawn', 'For You' and 'God' all seem to have been inspired by this song, with it's minimalist arrangements and multi-layered vocals. Well worth checking the song out if you've never heard it.
