I got a T-Shirt! Who actually likes or even  owns the Prince musicology/ True funk soldier clothes? I hate them. And it annoys the hell out of my because I don't have any Prince clothes, I wanted P clothes, and all of the shirts on the NPGMC are painfully ugly. So today I solved my problem. I was at Hot Topic in the mall, and I saw a Purple Rain shirt! But it was 20 bucks and I only had 10 left. See what I put myself through for you Prince?  So I walked back home (5 miles), got money, and walked back to the mall (5 miles), then bought the shirt and walked back home. (5 miles). So a 10 mile walk turned into 20 miles (5 there, 5 back, 5 there, 5 back) and my feet hurt a lot. But check it out-  I'm happy now.

I didn't want to take the bus. I'm cheap and stubborn like that. Besides, it was the best weather we had in a long time, and I haven't been off the computer and couch in days. And it wasn't like I walked 20 miles straight. 5 miles to the mall at about 10am. I shopped a couple hours, had lunch. Went back home to get more money, posted a couple times, watched a couple minutes of TV, walked back to the mall, bought the shirt, had a coffee at Starbucks, and went home for dinner. Actually, I thought about going shopping again around 9:00 tonight, but decided to go online instead. (Now it's 12:30 and I'm still online.)  [Edited 9/5/04 21:31pm] | |

I went to the mall with 200 bucks. But I only had ten left when I saw the shirt. I am young (15) so I couldn't use the ATM.  | |

I bought that same shirt at Hot Topic just a few days before my Prince concert, and I wore it to the show. Then, I got one of those "Musicology 2004ever" shirts with the cities on the back, so I ended up with two Prince shirts in a matter of days. Really cool. | |

I designed my own prince shirt for the 7/31 concert in Detroit. I wanted to wear purple for the concert and no shirts available in purple on npgmc. So I downloaded the 1999 album cover and bought a purple shirt, took it to one of those tshirt places and made my own. I had "Class in session, Musicology 2004" printed below his pic. I got more requests and compliments on that tshirt. Is Mani still in charge for tshirts? I want to complain about why there are no purple shirts when the darn tickets say "wear something purple". I think the tour shirts are ugly also. I bought the purple one with yellow letters, but I would have much rather had one with a picture of the man on it.

Its refreshing to have such young fans on this sight which is otherwise infested with coffin dodgers, so congrats to you hon. With regards to your shirt, its neato barrito, i have a "jam of the year" tour shirt which is equally cool but less cheesy. Sport it with pride young one. | |

They love the rubber bracelets 'n stuff. Oh, and my 9 yr old has the TRUE FUNK SOLDIER T shirt... last week i ordered a few muscle t-shirts online and then i went over to the NPGMC store and was looking for a decent Prince shirt..of course i couldnt find anything  so i ordered the black muscle-t with the red symbol on the back well all the stuff i ordered came the same time and i noticed the $6.99 muscle t i ordered was the exact same shirt (same company, same size) same everything as the symbol shirt i bought which was $17.99! so in other words that tiny little symbol costs an extra $11! I went to Hot Topic today and bought the shirt. They were all out of bigger sizes. So, I'm stuck with a large. Which is goin to look pretty young on me.  I think I'm gion to order a XL from their site and take the large back to the store. When I walked in that store jaws hit the floor like; "What's this big black guy doin in here..."
