Lose the James Brown Sound Do you think this is too much of an influence?
He makes some great music when he is trying to be original. Lately too much stuff is sounding just like James Brown. I like JB but geez. Prettyman, The Work, Musicology Undertaker etc. What do you think?

I dont no, through lookin bak on sum of he's older stuff with the horn's etc the sound has always been there, maybe it wouldn;t be the same without that sound/feel 2 it! Keenmeister

I don't necessarily know if it can be too much of an influence, but at the same time I understand if you've gotten tired of it. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

I kind of like the James Brown sound. It's easy to dance to. But I would love to see him to do more rock music, so I do agree he should lose the JB sound. [Edited 9/4/04 20:34pm]
