Lose the James Brown Sound

Do you think this is too much of an influence?

He makes some great music when he is trying to be original. Lately too much stuff is sounding just like James Brown. I like JB but geez. confused

Prettyman, The Work, Musicology Undertaker etc. What do you think?

I don't necessarily know if it can be too much of an influence, but at the same time I understand if you've gotten tired of it.

I kind of like the James Brown sound. It's easy to dance to. dancing jig But I would love to see him to do more rock music, so I do agree he should lose the JB sound.
