There is a hate group against Prince on myspace. Also, the pictures on the hateful page are copywrited pictures of the artist that have been colored over by Paint. Eye have contacted the people that run myspace, but if U guys could, please contact them as well and try 2 get this group abolished. Eye have also taken this up at npgmc.com.

Not trying to be mean, but.....some people love Prince, some people hate Prince. They have that right. You can't censor people just because you disagree with them.

if a site advocates violence against someone, then i say it should be altered or removed. if someone wants to present a viewpoint, however contrary to our own, i don't see why it should be "reported". if anything, getting all in a froth over it only gives it the attention you don't want it to have in the first place...which is why I deleted the URL.

As much as we all just can't imagine someone actually hating Prince, it does happen and a mature way to handle this situation is to just keep away from that sight or just develop a thick skin. There are many hate groups out there and they have a right to their own opinion, and we have a right to disagree with them. Don't let 'em get to ya!

You need to take in the big picture of the world, there are people dying right now who never heard or could care less about Prince, deal with it.

But don't be a stranger here at the org, folks may be a little more honest ( or course, mean and nutty ) but we all have one common denominator. Add to that the fact that a lot of us belong to both sites and take what we like from each.

That would b funny. But eye think the group mod on there would like that 2 much. haha

Eye just think it's silly 2 take so much time 2 create an Anti-Prince group when he didn't do anything 2 them. Even tho, eye guess it's silly that eye created a post about the anti-P group. Eye apologize.

I remember there was a anti-Mayte group that was on Yahoo groups. I'm on Myspace I can't seem to find the group I did a search and just found 2 fan groups. DarlingNikki16 could you orgnote me the link.

DarlingNikki16, it ain't no thang and you have nothing to apologize for - I personally don't think we should lock up this thread because I think we got some interesting discussion and thoughts out of it.

I did check out the site you mentioned, and it just looks like the product of someone who's disgruntled with NPGMC - obviously this person has been or is a fan, and they want to vent their frustrations. Fine, I say. Let 'em. But I'd rather not link to it from the Org if I can possibly help it, ya know?

OH: And a tip for those of you who would like an occasional change of scenery for your Princey posting pleasures - www.tribe.net has a "tribe" (kind of a specialized mini-web site within a web site) called Princeology where folks have been posting discussions on Prince-related stuff. Yours truly started it last year, but when I started moderating here, I passed on the tiara and I just peek in every once in a while and participate when I can. The folks who post on there are pretty mild-mannered people - some of whom also post on the Org and/or NPGMC and/or Housequake. It's a very nice, friendly, sane atmosphere (if a little underactive). Check it and the rest of tribe.net out if ya get a chance - it's a fun site.
