So earlier this week, I went to see Travis do his solo acoustic show at this club in New York. He did a mostly covers set with a couple of originals thrown in. Lo and behold, I heard Erotic City.




His version was fast & punkish, but funny and cute. I liked it. He also went on to say that he should do an all Prince dirty song revue since he abandoned most of his X-rated material after joining the JW's.






























Now you're probably thinking, who the hell is Travis Morrison?
Well, he was the lead singer of The Dismemberment Plan, one of the last, sadly missed, great Alternative/Indie rock bands to come out in a long time.

He's still on tour too, so if he swings by your town, check him out. You won't regret it. You'll also hear a kickass Prince cover.

I met him too. He's a swell guy.
