Musicology double platinum?

Will Musicolgy reach double platinum? For my money i wouldn't gamble on it... i mean without CD given away at concerts it's quite impossible...
What do you think about it?
It would be P's first double platinum since D&P.

After the tour comes to an end he should be sitting at about 1,850,000 ish.

Therefore the question becomes does Musicology have another 150,000 in retail sales left after the tour? I think if Cinnamon Girl is released to radio and becomes a minor hit that should do it, otherwise it will be close.

>>It would be P's first double platinum since D&P.<<

Actually Emancipation was certified double platinum. Since it was a triple CD set the RIAA multiplies the total by 3 to come up with its certifation and since Emancipation moved about 700,000 that mad it double platinum.

But yeah, if you are taking an album that actaully moved over 2 million units , yes D&P was the last. prince came close.

In US, in few yesrs time. But it is certainly gone paltinum worldwide. Has anyone the sale figures? If he releases cinnamon girl with decent video and comes to tour areneas in Europe, then he'll probably double the $ he made in US this year.

I think it will reach that, I just saw a commercial for the album where they called it Prince's new critically acclaimed multi-platnium CD.

it would, but does it represent 'sales'? i mean does it truly reflect the market demand?

i have an extra copy of musicology because it was 'sold' to me at the concert after i already obtained my first copy of musicology at the simulcast. if i could have chosen to 'not receive' that second copy at the concert and to have paid less for my concert ticket in exchange i would have
