first time i heard this song was back in '88 on a bootleg cassette of the black album i got from somebody.

low quality and crackly as that recording was i was still freaking out over the sheer brilliant funkiness of 'bob george'. played that shit over and over and over again. awesome song.

I saw him do Bob George LIVE during the LoveSexy tour in '88. I remember I didn't understand what he was doing cuz I'd never heard the song B4. He shot Cat with a machine gun (fake gun of course).

I walked around for at least a cuuple of years quoting that song for no damned reason.

Just out of the blue I'd say "Bob, Ain't that a Bitch?"
or "I'll slap yo azz into the middle of next week"
and on and on.

It's brilliant.

It was a Great Theatrical piece.

It was back in the day after an under-age club night out (cuz I was 19) when a guy from school was driving us home. My friends were asking him to play the shit for me, since I was a Prince fan. He popped it in. It was almost like hearing Prince for the 1st time. A new style, but not any symbol style.

Funny thing, when I was at Lovesexy, it took me awhile to realize that I was watching what I heard, but I did catch on eventually.
