There is a few different restuarants in MPLS that serve a drink
called Purple Rain. I can't recall what restuarants or what is in the drink.

Berlin nightclub in Chicago has a drink called the Purple Rain. I'm sure someone on here knows what's in it...I sure don't remember. But it's awful yummy.

OMG Becky! THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I HAD!!!! Baileys, and Rasp Chambord...yeah that's right he said he had something SIMILAR to a choc/rasp yum yum but made this instead. Very observant Anx and I was the one who drank it!!!

when I was in Jamaica, the nightclub at Sandals had a drink called PURPLE RAIN. I don't remember what was in it, only that it knocked me on my ass!

i remember years ago there was a prince night at some club in London, and Diamond and Pearl were both there signing autographs....and you could order a Diamond & Pearls cocktail...

Anyone remember where this took place? I know it was in the days of Controversy mag because I remember seeing Eileen Murton speaking to D&P before hand...but cannot for the life of me remember the name of the venue....

Thanks to Handclaps and the Org staff for uploading/sharing the drink list from my site. That's why I posted it. The more the merrier the more the funkier the more tipsy, lol.

A little story behind the drink list -- a friend of mine from Chicago, who used to live in Milwaukee, regularly went to MPLS and The Park every once and a while. She got me the summer drink list from Glam Slam MPLS and a beaker tube, which I still have in my Prince stash somewhere. I believe these drink lists are at least 10 years old, or maybe 11. It was around 1993 or 1994 after the name change to when my good friend sent me the drink list.

Unfortuantely when I posted, eons ago, if someone had any of the spring or fall or winter drink lists from the three Glam Slams (South Beach Miami, LA and MPLS), the request went unanswered. Oh well.

If anyone is in the Detroit area on the weekend of Sept. 18, join TheDetroitCrawl.Org as we celebreate The Screams of Passion at our monthly Housequake HouseParty. Just like in years past, a few Glam Slam drink specials will be offered.

There is a second side to this summer drink list that offers non-alcoholics like Dance On, DMSR, Controversy and Scandalous. There are a few more mixed drinks on the second page too -- Soft & Wet, Dirty Mind and The Yokohama (in honor of the Glam Slam club in Japan)

So, does anyone have any of the other season drink lists from any of the closed Glam Slam? Kindly orgnote me.

I had a "Purple Rain" martini at a restaurant last night. It looked good, but it was too sweet and tasted like cough syrup. Anyway, the ingredients -- RAIN Vodka, Rasberry Liqueur, splash of lime.
