I agree videos have never been his strong suit, but IWUH just didn't appeal to me(that's not to say it was not a good video). As far as videos he has done which can stand up to other videos, i think TMBGITW is one of them | |

IMO.....His best video was "BATDANCE".....simply artistic!!....the choreogreophy was great and his doulble identity performance is masterful!!!....."WHO IS THAT?... VICKI VALE! | |

Actually, i liked Partyman better than Batdance. P did a good job of playing the Joker. He probably could have played the part instead of Jack Nicholson(no, i am not putting Jack down) | |

IMO TMBGITW is the dullest Prince video of the lot (and yes, I do have nearly every one of Prince's promo videos released and otherwise in order to make this judgement.) It's so bland that I just cant sit through it. Honest. Madartista is right to say IWUH is far better. Although my personal faves are the Raspberry Beret and Automatic promos (the 'aircraft' style arrival of the bed in Automatic still makes me laugh even now!) Mountains... another great one that LOOKS like a professional video. Good call. I like the perfromance videos, because I'm ALWAYS happy to see Prince perform, I just don't think of them as great videos from an aesthetic standpoint. Though I love the man's music, I don't feel like he's had a lot of great videos. The two I like best are When Doves Cry and Kiss. I get especially bored with any of the videos from Diamonds & Pearls and  . The video for Automatic is a lot of fun though, naughty as all get out. | |
