"The flow" Anyone love this track as much as I do? I know most will prefer the boot with Rosie on it, but the quality on mine is so poor that i still prefer the normal album version!
"i'll go places u'll never go, ask what I'm kicking (yo) I'm kicking the flow!" I love those lines..... Also the "Tony shoot that piece of shit" bit is cool too.....as r the "Speak the english" random sample too.....I love these little Prince touches don't u? Anyway, Tony does not ruin the song either.....I like his part too.....and the horn breakdown suits this funky as hell track so well.....ur thoughts on this funkiest of funky tracks? | |

You know what..I thought I hated this song but I do actually quite like it for a number of reasons:
1) Its fairly bad-ass/angry (by Princes standards) which is a side you don't see too often 
2) Prince raps are usually poor 
3) Prince shows Tony M how its done and that,if he wanted to, he could do it with his eyes closed  - anybody notice how Tony M just made the first few words audible and then just makes stupid noises to sound like he's rapping really fast " Hi my names Tony M and Im a slisspppydy doofturggdy slabbidee slip...phew so fast I make your head spin right?!" 
I dont like the one with Rosie..I think Im the only Prince fan who thinks she crap...there's nothing talented about going "how wow wow" all the time during a song let alone EVERY song!!! [Edited 9/4/04 8:35am] | |
