buy every last single one baby!

If he wants 2 get rid of the "Thieves In the Temple", he has 2 release these shows. Plus it would be much better sound quality then the "Thieves" could put out.

rolleyes I mean all Sabotage is putting out now is rehashed out boots with new packages. Nothing new as far a material goes.

Prince.....Forever. haha

1. would buy each concert I been to (well at least 1 per tour I been to)
2. would buy 1 of each tour I have not been to
3. buy such that of all songs ever played I would have a live version

Most interested in the Vienna Aftershow in May 1987 and Camden Palace 1988. Oh if only I could get good and complete recordings of these shows...

Free, outstanding question.

I haven't been to that many of his concerts, so I'd probably have to take a good long look at the list of the ones he's selling and match it with some lists from some books and other materials I have on him that lists them complete with set lists, etc.

But first, I would look at the list of the one's he's selling and just see how each one hits me off the bat, which one would jump off at me to go head and get it.

As far as collecting all of em? Ummmmm, don't know about that I would probably pick the best ones and some aftershows that were just incredible or at least curious to see what happened, how'd it go etc.

Prince if u readin this, sell your concerts and aftershows! You would make bookoo loot! (In Chris Tucker voice) "And you know thisssss, maaaaan!"

peace!

It's a good idea to release a limited number of cds of each show. It will certainly take a lot of the bootleggers pie. If it works for Pearl Jam then why not Prince. smile

I would buy many of them without a doubt. I don't think I would buy them all because I couldn't afford them. I would love Prince to do this, but I doubt he will. He seems like such a perfectionist that he wouldn't want to release anything that wasn't perfect and of course every one of his shows is not perfect (in his eyes). But I thought it was amazingly cool that Pearl Jam did that.

I'd buy every one I could get my hands on.An "official" Prince live album has been overdue for 10 or 15 years now, and might be his best real chance of charting again. I'd like 2 c a chronological triple album compilation of hits, covers and obscure originals, featuring choice cuts from all of his different bands and styles. Usually the sound quality on the bootlegs I can find is brutal, 2 say the least. Plus, I've never heard "Joy in Repetition" live b4.

Maybe Wed. or Thur...? Atlanta...? Hope, hope, hope...

I wouldn't buy any of them I would just get copies of them from the Winmx or my friends ... and this is exactly why you will never see them released.

Another reason why it won't work is because Pearl Jam has many more fans then Prince has at this point. Also, in case anyone has noticed the Pearl Jam experiment may not have worked very well because every music store I go into has loads of the concert cd's in the bargain big. I mean hundreds of copies. I doubt they even broke even on the experiment. Trust me if it had worked the industry would have taken notice and this would be the new norm.

Usually I buy two from every tour, one from close to the beginning of the tour and one close to the end. That way you get a good insight into the evolution of a tour. I also buy interesting aftershows.
I would do the same if they were officially released, so essentially Prince misses three to four sales to me every tour and somebodyelse gets that money.

No question about it - I'd buy them all. Since PR, I have bot everyone of Prince's albums without having to hear anything off of them first or worrying about playlists. That's becuz I knew I'd like it before I heard it. I haven't been disappointed yet.

i wouldn't count on him releasing live cds anytime soon. i put this very question to him at the columbus soundcheck and he said there were no plans to do it. he didn't seem very interested in the idea.

but if he did....

i would go for the shows i'd been to or wished i'd been to first. i'd probably fill in a lot of the others after that.

ALL!

But I'd demand they be well designed and the designs and packaging reflect the periods/era's with lots of info on the shows and photos from the concerts and backstage!

That, my friends, would beat the bootleggers and mp3'ers!
