Is Prince the author of "Shh"? See, when I bought The Gold Experience a while ago, I didn't know that he did that song. Before that, I only heard this version by one of those 90's run-of-the-mill R&B groups (I forget who). But did they do it first or is Prince the author? Tevin Campbell ( a former Prince protege, See Graffiti Bridge movie) did the first version on his "I'm Ready" LP in 1994

and yes, Prince did write the song. I didn't know this either until I recently bought GE.
It was a nice surprise at the same time it made me angry because I realize that Prince was black balled during this time. I never heard any of these songs from GE on the radio. And a lot of them were good. "Remember, one man's filler is another man's killer" -- Haystack

It's kinda creepy that 14 year old Tevin Campbell sang those lyrics to Ssh "Knowledge is preferable to ignorance. Better by far to embrace the hard truth than a reassuring faith. If we crave some cosmic purpose, then let us find ourselves a worthy goal" - Carl Sagan
