dude those r some really fucked up things 2 say.

how do explain kids feeling like that? huh? there was this one episode of oprah and it was about this except with kids..there was this little boy on there. i think he was like 5 and he wanted to be a girl. serious. and then they had this girl she was like 12 or 13 and she wanted to be a boy. she wasn't comfortable living her life as a girl. so its not a society acceptance thing when even kids feel that way..its just the way things turn out.[/quote:8d679b01a5]

How do you explain to kids ANYTHING about sex or sexuality. All kids are confused about things while they are growing up, especially the gay ones. If society wasn't so damned prejudiced about gays, you might could talk to them, find out how they are feeling, and give them advice. A child's mind is not fully developed so they will go from one extreme to the other. I, for one, could never talk to a child about something about sex or sexuality because I would feel extremely uncomfortable and I would never want to be accused of trying to come on to the child. I wish a school counselor could talk with a gay child and let him/her know that if they are gay, it is OK.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with wearing a particular article of women's clothing such as a scarf, or clothes made with certain material that are usually considered feminine. I also see nothing wrong with a man fixing his hair or wearing makeup like a male star would do, simply to make his face look better. Eyeshadow is cool also. Women like to enhance their looks, why can't men? All these things are just a man, whether he's straight or gay, showing his individuality. All these things are cool as long as you still carry yourself as a man. When you start wearing bras and trying to give the illusion of having breasts and trying to look like a woman, then that's another story. Gay men admire lots of things about women, but a fully grown gay man with his head together, realizes he is a MAN that is attracted to other men. Gays catch enough hell already, they don't need people like drag queens giving the straight world ammunition to use against them by saying gay people are "sick".

Gay people need more STRONG role models. I thank God that I had a strong role model like Prince when I was growing up. It's a shame there are not more.

You are so off-bse with this about wanting to be accepted in straight society. Sexuality and gender have nothing to do with each other. I know transgendered lesbians and gay men. How do you explain that one? I have a friend who is a transgendered MTF lesbian. She obviously doesn't want to be considered "normal" in straight society. She wants to be considered "normal" in the lesbian community.

Zel, I love ya a whole bunch-- I really do.
But God loves to condemn gay people. To my knowlege he even like to condemn people who mix pork and chicken in the same dinner, or mix cotton and wool in their fabrics.

I think we have to keep an open mind about things as human beings and not look beyond for tolerance. Becuase beyond space and time, we're gonna get the book slapped on us.

I swear this guy is obsessed with Prince's sexuality...WHO CARES? Again if you really took the time, Prince is a gemini, usally known to have two sides. Most likely this is what he was speaking of. As usual you turn it into something sexual.

Hey, don't hate the player--hate the game.

Dude if you are going to try and be cool and use your MTV venacular, at least use something that isn't from 1997. I don't know if you just watch too many movies or what but you are not a deep thinker and your not funny.

Lesbians are a totally different story altogether. Most lesbians I know, especially the butch ones, are very proud of their homosexuality. Butch lesbians catch a lot of heat but they don't catch near the heat that a gay man does. Society sees them as stronger than a straight woman. By stronger, I mean physically. Gay men have always been considered weaker than straight men. Someone will mess with a person they consider weak real fast but they will think twice about messing with someone they consider strong.

I've always admired lesbians for their strength. Most lesbians I have known may dress masculine but they have no desire to be a man.

eek Gay men in Tampa (and I'm not stereotyping here--I see this every week) are very physically fit. You see them at the beaches and in the clubs, and they always look better than other men. Some of them, dare I say it, look more manly.

Ya Wouldn't believe it. One REFUSED to FEED me After a Certain time. We Basically only could Drink,Fuck,Shop and Dance at Clubs. He Was a Gemini and Was VERY CONSCIOUS of Being That PERFECT MAN...With a Skeletal Girlfriend. If I gained any weight he Flipped-Out. He told me 105-110 was his preference and left me for someone after I was 28...LOL.. I SWEAR To GOD! Lol...LOL.. Sick Huh??? I Drank Carrot Juice all the time .

I'm talking about a MTF (male-to-female) lesbian. That is a biological man who wants to be a woman, but is only sexually attracted to women and considers themself lesbian. I think you misunderstood me.

I'm sorry, I did misunderstand you. In the gay world, a lot of gay men are classified as butch (masculine or "top") or fish (feminine or "bottom"). Then you have many that flip flop (versitile...will be "top" or "bottom"). A lot that flip flop that a lot of their peers consider fish, will joke and talk shit and call themselves lesbians. This is all in good fun and all is only talking shit with their friends in a club. Everyone really and truly knows what they are but are just joking and having fun with it.

When it comes down to a man who actually considers himself a woman, but is sexually attracted to women, therefore, he considers himself a lesbian and is serious and not joking.....whew (it gets confusing).....I hate to say it, but there are some people out there that are truly confused and should seek counselilng. I've seen one person like that in a gay club and he is the joke of the club. That is further than just a matter of being straight or gay, that is a matter of being truly confused.

It may be confusing to you, but it makes sense. I hope you realize that sexuality and gender have absolutely nothing to do with each other. If a child feels they are the wrong gender it has nothing to do with their sexuality. I was reading a previous post about something said about a child not knowing anything about sex and sexuality when Moonwalk mentioned a child feeling they're in the wrong body

I think it may be harder for you to understand, especially if you are completly comfortable in the body you are in and have no plans on changing it. Not everyone is like you and there are people who's lives would be better as the other gender.

I never heard of a transgendered person who has had surgery and had regretted it later. It's a big decision that is usually the last resort
