The MTV premiere party To those org members who have seen the new purple rain dvd.....
On the part where they are showing the priemere party and the host is interviewing shelia E. Am I the only one who thought she looked like she needed to eat!!!!! I mean the girl looked po' as hell. When I was younger I always thought she was a pretty woman, now looking back at that movie I see I was dead wrong! What do you guys think? "Love God" | |

She's gorgeous now and she looked gorgeous back then, just younger. And yes, she was thin but I don't think she looked *too* thin, but then that's also just my personal opinion. My problem with her at the PR Premiere party was she seemed kind of like a dingbat, giving those weird responses to Mark's questions. That's true!  Those interviews he did with people at the party ALL seemed so stilted and uncomfortable. lol
Does anybody around here remember about 4 years ago when Mark was hosting that local lottery program on WGN out of Chicago? The first time I watched that I was wracking my brain trying to remember WHERE I knew this "Mark Goodman" guy from. His career has really sunk. I haven't bought the new DVD yet (I still have the original one in the plastic wrap! i bought it cuz it was $9)... but I remember
back in the day reading an interview where Apollonia said that Sheila lost like 5 or 10 pounds everytime she performed because she put so much into it (and I saw the tour and it's true!). So she was probably just thin from performing so much and losing weight. Glad to know she's on the DVD....it was sold out on Friday when I went to Best Buy which I was happy to hear in a way. (although the $9 one was still there!)  |

Wendy and Lisa were just nervous, but they looked so cute trying to sound interesting. Mark Goodman was trying to stay professional but he was just not getting intelligiable (sp?) responses. Poor bastard. I wish u heaven | |

back in those days, Prince didn't want anyone close to him talking to reporters -- they had to be very careful what they said -- so it doesn't surprise me that a lot of the interviews appeared awkward | |
