Didn't Graffiti Bridge look like it was going to be hot from the movie trailer? Seeing the trailer again on the DVD, I still got that great feeling when I remember seeing it the first time. And seeing Cherry Moon trailer again, what happened to that other love scene? And the scene with those horses breaking free?

Nope.....Safe to say, I knew it wouldn't be worth my moms money, but I dragged her to see it anyway.

Yep, for a sec I thought Prince might've retrieved some of that Purple Rain glory -- there was a lot of excitement around it -- remember when he went on American Music Awards and said, "I hope you like surprises" or something like that? I was thinking Graffiti Bridge was gonna be spectacular. Oh well. I still love a lot of the songs more than most since he kinda went back to the Lovesexy vibe on this one. Too bad.

Yes, the trailer was brilliant...but what got me even more hyped up was the glowing review I read that morning in the NY Times!
The critic said Prince had perfectly updated the movie musical, or something like that. About eight hours later, I walked out of the theatre with my best friend, our heads hanging in disbelief at the cinematic train wreck we had just witnessed. What was that Times critic smokin?....
