Your favourite Prince piano moment? What is your favourite Prince piano moment?
for me, when i went to my bed last night i put on ONA piano and i have to say that his playing during A Case of you is absolutely feckin brilliant. My fav funk moment is the little bit he plays before Hot Thing on SOTT video. [This message was edited Sun Aug 29 9:12:17 2004 by muirdo] Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

i've abosultely loved "The Grand Progression" since the first time i heard it -- the way it builds and how his vocals sound

The only part I like about '3 chains o gold' is the beginning on the piano (which is like 5secs )

'Redemption Song' from the Nude Tour...
Nice gospel-y chord changes! Ooh! And 'Ain't No Way' from that tour too.... I like him best at the piano when he keeps it simple and honest. None of this synth-strings-in-the-background nonsense (a la ONA Live)... "Not everything that is faced can be changed; but nothing can be changed until it is faced." - James Baldwin

If Prince actually played that opening music on the piano at the start of Under The Cherry Moon...where he's given notes that say things like, "now give her the eyes"....
...well, if he played that, then I am truly amazed at his piano playing....that shit is some concert pianist shit! True Genius, if that was him....and somehow I doubt it was because it is just SOOOOO GOOD.

I'm quite sure that that piano piece at the top of UTCM was Prince (with Claire Fischer fattening it up). Certainly, he plays at least that well in the piano medley on Livesexy 88.
But for me, it's Venus de Milo, bay-BEEEE!!!
