I don't think he did an official tour for the album here in the states. I could be wrong.
BUT, I did get to see a late night gig he did the night of the MTV awards that year. He did a special show in the San Fernando Valley at a small club called "The Country Club". (The exterior of the club was later used at the beginning of "Boogie Nights", by the way.) There were stars of the 80s (Downtown Julie Brown, Huey Lewis, Rick Ocasek, Crowded House, Cyndy Lauper and too many others to remember) packed into the club with us everyday folks. I would say the place held maybe 300 people, I mean it was a tiny place. We all got there and lined up before he was even done performing "SOTT" at the awards show. (One sad/weird anecdote is that we say Sly Stone try to get in and being turned away because the bouncer didn't know who the hell he was and would not let him in without a ticket. People around me were yelling at the doorman that it was indeed Sly, but to no avail. A really sad moment, especially later on that night when my sister and I stared at each other with teary eyes as Prince played "Everyday People" on stage -- Sly's signature song!!) Well, in typical Prince fashion we were seated about 11 pm for a show that was to start at midnight...but really didn't until almost 2:30 am. But let me tell you, once that show started, I got to see a MASTER at his peak. He played the small club for almost 3 fucking hours!! He took every song on the album and reinvented it before our eyes. He owned the room and I loved watching the other pop stars acting as if they had never seen a performance before; all eyes were on Prince and he revelled in proving that he was the best and better than any of them would ever be. He brought Huey Lewis and Chaka Khan on stage to jam (all Huey could do was bang a tambourine, but you know Chaka went apeshit.) One of the best moments was there was a drunk idiot close up who kept yelling out random songs he wanted Prince to play and you could tell that the audience was getting fed up with him. At the beginning of a ballad, Prince leaned over, look right at the guy and yelled "Shut up already, Damn!" in his best Housequake voice (which was about the second song of the night.) Amazingly, Prince did somewhat oblige the guy by taking the lyrics from one song and seamlessly fitting them into another (unfortunately, I can't remember which songs they were as this was 18 years ago!) Whatever they were, it was similar to the moment in the "SOTT"movie where he introduces "IT" into "Forever in My Life", but those were not the songs that night. I have seen Prince at least 6 times since then (7 if you count the time he showed up onstage at a Sheila E concert at the Universal Amphitheatre and sang "Love Bizarre", "America" and "Kiss") and I don't think I will ever see that level of brilliance again from ANYBODY.

Well, the video is a pretty good representation of that tour (one of his best imo).
With the exception of Little Red Corvette (and Now's The Time), the video only shows the performances of songs that were on the Sign O' The Times album though, so the show is incomplete. The usual setlist was like this... Sign O' The Times Play In The Sunshine Little Red Corvette Housequake Girls & Boys Slow Love I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man Hot Thing Now's The Time If I Was Your Girlfriend Let's Go Crazy When Doves Cry Purple Rain 1999 Forever In My Life Kiss The Cross It's Gonna Be A Beautiful Night
