Petition to get Prince's Catalog Remastered It seems that the serveral petitions that were made last year, regarding Prince's movies being released on DVD worked.
So I say we do the same thing for his catalog. His catalog needs it badly. Sign "O" the Times sounds so flat. Not to mention his other albums...  "So strange that no one stayed at the end of the Parade..." - Wendy & Lisa's "Song About" on their 1987 self-titled album.

You're saying that the DVDs were released directly as a result of some petitions??!! And your evidence for this? You don't think it's just because it's the 20th anniversary of Purple Rain?
I don't believe on the whole petitions work, unless it's some dispute in a small town and a particular politician is scared for his job. And especially internet petitions are a waste of time, since it is easy to forge a massive list of names. If they work, can we have a petition to give me a million pounds for no good reason?! Although I do agree Sign o the Times needs to be released on DVD, as does Lovesexy 1 and 2. | |

Well, it couldn't hurt, could it? Maybe if WB knew that there was a market for remastered Prince cd's they would try to get them out? Of course, getting Prince to agree to include some outtakes is the big hurdle. If there aren't any outtakes, or at the very least 12" mixes, I wouldn't bother buying them. | |
